Holding myself back form a shuffle for running
Likewise, that shuffle is seriously slick, and the price is right. Built in clip, bye bye iPod shuffle sport case.

i had a hard case before and my ipod fell from my loft bed (not even close to 2 metres), and fell apart and my ipod was dead.
2 metres is over 6'. Normally, phones and mp3 players are dropped from about 3'-4'.
That said, I agree that hard cases aren't the best - they're too rigid. I think either padded silicone or leather provide better protection. I've dropped my iPod in its leather case multiple times (on hardwood, tile, concrete, whatever). The only damage it's every suffered occurred when it slipped out of the case on its way down.

Does your iMac have a CD-burner? Ejection is the normal behaviour of a CD-ROM-only drive when blank writable media is inserted.

Dear Forum Folks:
Perhaps someone might be able to assist me with your insight & keen knowledge.
I own the first iPad. It runs 3.2.2. I want to upgrade to the latest version. Every attempt I make ends unsuccessfully.
Example:
iTunes: Update to latest system (click)
(extracting software)
ERROR: "iTunes could not backup the iPad because the backup session failed"
(link to more information appears: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275) (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275))
This is what they suggest on the page:
_Update to the latest version of iTunes (did this)
_Update to the latest version of your operating system (that's what I'm trying to do)
_Restart your computer (of course)
_Open the proper ports and allow access to Apple servers (didn't do this)
_USB Troubleshooting (not an issue)
I would 'Restore Settings' - but there's a few reasons I don't want to:
1) iTunes library - I selectively put only a few songs on it.. not the whole collection
2) App memory/middle of game. Yup. I've put about 18 hours into "BT Gangsta" and I don't want to have to go back and do all those missions again
(these are all lazy excuses, but it you have any recommendation, anything would be helpful). Of course, as a last resort, I will reach out to the apple folks via phone.. as a ball of joy as that sounds.
Many thanks,
AQuil

I think I ll be there tomorrrow morning to get two more. I am thinking of be there at 7 am.

I have to disagree with this comment, its not the Iphone man is USA's Networks. over here in england i have had no dropped calls (not a single one) beit the Iphone 3GS, 3G or 4 not a single dropped call and i am sure the majority of Iphone users here would state this.
I can confirm this.
I have many friends with iPhone 4's, all on different carriers here in canada and none of us have experienced a dropped call, only I have which was because the proximity had me end the call, but that was fixed since 4.2.1.

Aloha everyone,
I'm not quite sure how this happened, but here's my current issue. I can build, archive, and verify my apps, but after uploading them to iTunes Connect, I get the dreaded "invalid binary" email from Apple. It indicates an invalid signature on the app itself, pointing to the Distribution certificate used.
I then checked out the Organizer in Xcode and everything looked good. I had all the certs listed, as well as the provisioning profiles. I then checked out Keychain access, and this is where it gets a little screwy.
In My Certificates, I can see both the Developer and Distribution certs, both with the private keys. When I check the Keys section, however, all I see is a key for my Developer cert. I don't see a key for my Distribution cert. Does anyone know why this is, or what could have caused this? I'm operating under the assumption, of course, that I need private keys for both certs, and if they show up under My Certificates, then they should also show up under Keys.
I've already sent an email to Apple, but does anyone have a clue as to what I can do between now and when (or if) Apple ever gets back to me?
Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Eureka! Removing the comments out of the script in the header fixed the Firefox issues.

It was my birthday so I was really looking foward to a good day, but then everyone in my class (I was in 5th grade at the time) was leaving early and I thought that maybe there was a huricane coming (I live in florida is its possible) but then I got called to go home early and my mom then turned on the radio in the car and I heard it all.

Where's Hingham? I got to BU for school and currently live in brookline. Is this closer than the apple store in the Cambridge Galleria? I'm not sure if I'll be buying Leopard or just waiting till next week before I order a new MackBook Pro that ships with it.

Hmm, FAT32 only allows for 4GB, right?
Individual files can only be 4 gig in size. The partition itself can be much larger

Hi, fairly new to the group.
I decided to change to apple affter borrowing my brothers Cube
ohhh now thats a classy looking thing.. :)
anyways, it just worked... after my frustration at windows crashing... for everything,
this just works!
so today ive ordered my first apple machine... and im wondering, have i made the right choice of mac for me?
i want it for graphic designing in photoshop, web design and the occasional audio recording using firewire...
I wanted a 17" powerbook for ages, but gave up on the idea as i though "do i really need to be that portable"
so then i though iMac? (knowing there was no way i could get a G5 AND screen - although ive been closly folowing the rumours beforehand...) but i figured that the 17" screen wasnt as big as the 17" i had been using on the Cube, it was just wider...
so i opted for the "Ultimate" G4 1gighz 1 gig ram eMac.
This has a bigger screen, still CRT flat (well basicly like the cube ive been using only with better specs and more ram)
i got this, airport extreem and also VPC 6 with win XP (i know ive gotta learn to let go) but anyways, ive herd that windows with VPC runs FASTER on a mac? is this true???
so what would you have gone for if you was me? did i make the right choice?
Matt

The greyed out Phone driver option under "customize" has been there in every recent version of the iTunes installer.
